COMMITMENT PHOBIATIC

Patient of 'Impatience'

I have been a victim of this disorder too! (Bloggers are a result of subjectivity, come on!!)

Maneesh Sharma, director of Shuddh Desi Romance has very blatantly put the fears, confusions, ambiguities faced by today's youth. These days right from movies to songs, lawsuits to novels, everyone is highlighting(read "celebrating") the palpitating issue of commitment phobia. Miss. Kaif has been wearing "Kala Chasma" and beautifully dancing to the tunes of this issue as well.

I personally feel, its not just a phobia but, a disorder, where one becomes a patient of "impatience". Well, "profitable" news is that even doctors are earning money via "stress" related problems borne out of this disorder.(read "Long Live Phobia")

Once upon a tine there existed a husband and a wife but now we exist as Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Katrina Kaif, Honey Singh, Smart Phone, Samsung, I phone, AC, Lizol, Pepsi, Coke, Udta Punjab, JLo, Diljit Dosangh, Kingfisher Model, Sasural Simar Ka, Tulsi Bhabhi, Naina, Ranbir Kapoor, Cannes, Alia, Akira... Phewwww! I am sure you know what I mean and if you don't know then see a doctor and loosen your pockets a bit.

Yes, you are right the concept of "all rounder", "go getter", "you can do it", "strive till you get it" sounds perfect but unfortunately when applied to personal lives results in weird state of mind. Youngsters are unable to decide as to what they want in their partner, because they want so many things from one person and under pressure of performing & desiring they end up becoming victims of this commitment phobia. One must know and digest there is no end to desires and its impossible to be same always. Change is a like a flowing river.

Many people end up breaking up their relationships because of the fear of not standing up to the expectations, fear of being judged, fear of getting hurt and of course escaping our favorite term unwanted "stress". Over shadowing the inner voice we indulge into wrong relationships but once we encounter the reality, running away seems the only respite. We hand over our peace of mind to the future and when future tries to tell you its time to commit, we immediately remember, WHY SHOULD I COMMIT ?? I must live in present and look for some one "suitable",and more over there is always a "botox job" and hair color.

It's a funny world, but then, we all are here to do role plays as ordained by God( Sometimes I feel, God is running out of good stock). Just sharing a perspective, relax, sit, suffer, get a grip and stick to one you feel serves your peace of mind, compliments your temper, give you space not distance, treats you like real life prince or princess. Get over your fears and then you won't be compelled to wear "Kala Chashma" to hide your tears.

Think!Love!Commit!

Love
Noor
